Tony Bruno, slide guitarist extraordinaire, and John Ziegler, singer, guitarist and songwriter.

They started out in the funky little ghost town and art haven of Jerome, and now travel

throughout Arizona and beyond. Through several lineup changes over the years, Major

Lingo has evolved its signature sound, which incorporates elements of psychedelic rock, ska, reggae, Celtic, Middle Eastern, Latin,

and folk into a wonderful, energetic, and highly danceable whole. In addition to Ziegler and Bruno, the band currently includes songwriter

Sally Stricker on bass and vocals, and Steve Botterweg on drums and vocals.    http://www.majorlingo.com/arizona-highway-band/

BLUES DAWG is a contemporary electric blues band steeped in the traditions of American blues

owner of The Well Red Coyote bookstore in Sedona, the band consists of Neri on guitar and

vocals, Keys Marsh on keyboard, Hutch Hutchinson on bass, Robert Church on drums, with

guest musicians often sitting in on keyboard, harmonica, sax and guitar.  Joining Blues Dawg

for the Clarkdale Concert in the Park will be slide virtuoso and American roots musician, Don

Whitcher.

Blues Dawg was founded by Neri in the mid-90’s in Los Angeles, playing all of the Southern California venues and recording two studio

and three live albums. After moving to Sedona in early 2005, he re-formed the band, but kept the same basic sound of covers and original

blues.  Visit their website for the latest news, appearances and contact information:  http://www.joenerimusic.com/.

rock covers and originals. By the way, there is no Chris Stevens but there are two Chris's and two Steven's thus the Chris Stevens Band.

AUGUST 27 - BURNETT FAMILY BLUEGRASS

7pm - 9pm

It was the summer of 1993, in the mountains of Northern Arizona, when

BURNETT FAMILY BLUEGRASS was born. The band is made of family

members, Brian (dad) on guitar and mandolin, Connie (mom) on stand up

bass, Rachel on fiddle, Jessie on mandolin, fiddle, guitar and banjo and Ryan

on banjo, fiddle and mandolin. This is family music at it’s best with hard

driving instrumentals and fine-tuned harmonies. The intricate breaks show a deep understanding about intimate musical detail that skyrocket

them from good to outstanding in the field of Bluegrass. After winning the coveted 2004 Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition, the

family was hand-selected by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for a command performance in Nashville, TN. They were

showcased at the 2005 IBMA convention held at the end of October. Burnett Family Bluegrass has proven themselves to be one of the up-and-

coming bands on the Bluegrass fast track. To learn more about Burnett Family Bluegrass visit their website at http://burnettbluegrass.com/.

CADILLAC ANGELS is one of the best rockabilly bands in the land. Although based in Arizona,

the early ’80s. The band, formally known as the Roadhouse Rockers with front man and creative

genius Tony Balbinot, energizes the crowd with a kind of music that has managed to survive 50

years of semi-obscurity and a few bursts of popularity. The roots, rockabilly, and surf-rock outfit

recently released Two Blocks Off Main, their 15th recording. To learn more about the Cadillac

Angels visit their website at http://www.crackedpistonrecordings.com/cadangels.htm.
